After an incident or the discovery of a damaged area, it can be difficult to assess a whole field from the ground. Aerial views provide perspective and link observed details to their locations.

Power Drone captures data to document the visible condition of crops. We plan the mission with the farmer or person handling the case to cover the relevant areas and agree on outputs that will support subsequent discussions.

Show visible conditions across the field

Lodged crops, gaps and areas with a different appearance may be spread unevenly. Overview images help show their distribution and how sectors relate to each other.

Data capture can combine that wider perspective with closer views of selected areas. The aim is to record what is observable at the time of the flight and keep references that allow the sectors to be found again.

Your ground observations complete the picture, particularly for details that are difficult to see from the air.

Map the observed areas

Mapping places visible zones on a representation of the field. Where included in the mission, an area measurement can be associated with selected outlines using the agreed method.

The way boundaries are drawn needs to suit the purpose: distinguishing several sectors, showing a diffuse area or focusing on the most apparent effects. Field boundaries and your ground references help plan this work.

The area documented describes an observation. It does not by itself determine lost yield or establish the full extent of damage that is not visible in the images.

Why have Power Drone document your fields?

Discussing damage calls for a clear view of where it is and what it looks like. Our team plans observations around that need.

  1. Planning based on your findings

We start with the areas you have identified, the date of your findings and the intended use of the images. This guides the areas to cover.

  2. Views chosen to explain the field

Our drone experience and range of platforms let us plan overview and location views suited to the terrain.

  3. A responsive, organised team

You work directly with our team to gather case information and arrange the visit. Farm timing and constraints are part of the planning.

Support discussions about the case

Will the images go to an adviser, loss assessor or insurer? Explain their use and the documents required in your enquiry. We can then plan outputs for that documentation need.

Images and location references let different contacts discuss the same areas. They can also help prepare a field visit or preserve a photographic record before another farming operation.

This service provides observations and a representation of affected areas. Expert assessment of damage, loss valuation and compensation decisions remain with the people responsible for those matters.

Plan the visit around your documentation needs

  1. Explain what has been observed

Identify the fields, crop, date and areas already found. Include photographs and available boundaries to locate the request.

  2. Specify useful records

We discuss the views, boundaries and outputs required. Any particular recipient requirements should be shared before the quotation.

  3. Coordinate data capture

The visit is arranged with the farm according to mission conditions. Flag any work or operations that may change the field's appearance.

If you need to monitor change, several visits can be assessed. We then plan the perimeter and comparisons together.

Before your mission

What can we receive to document affected areas?

Overview images, located photographs and a representation of visible zones can be prepared. The proposal defines any planned boundaries and associated area measurements, along with the presentation of deliverables.

What information should we send before the visit?

Include field boundaries, crop, the date of your findings and initial photographs. Flag upcoming agricultural operations that might alter the appearance of the areas concerned so we can plan data capture.

How can the images be used in a case for an assessor or insurer?

Share the recipient's requirements in your enquiry so we can plan useful views and references. Observations can support the case; expert damage assessment, loss valuation and compensation remain with the people responsible for those matters.

Which fields do you need to document?

Send field boundaries, crop, the date of your findings and the records required. Include upcoming farming operations so we can plan the visit.
