The DJI Avata 360 — drone only is designed for creators who want to film at 360° while retaining the ability to capture single-lens FPV sequences. Its dual square CMOS sensors in 1/1.1 inch format record panoramic video up to 8K at 60 frames per second. You can therefore choose your framing after the flight, create different shots from the same footage, and explore multiple angles without repeating the path.
This version includes the drone, one battery, and the accessories listed below. It does not include a remote controller, goggles, motion controller, or charging station. It is therefore best suited for users already equipped with a compatible control system. Compatible control equipment is required for activation and use.
In 360° mode, both lenses record the environment around the drone. This mode is particularly interesting for landscapes, subject reveals, and sequences you wish to reframe in multiple formats. The virtual gimbal allows exploring image tilt and roll without limiting the framing to the physical camera orientation. The D-Log M profile provides more latitude for color grading during editing.
In single-lens mode, the Avata 360 produces classic video footage up to 4K/60 fps. With a standard remote controller, the image can follow the drone's attitude for a dynamic FPV look. With compatible goggles and controller, you benefit from an immersive experience. This mode does not offer all functions available in 360°: in particular, do not assign omnidirectional detection to it.
Functions also depend on the control system: QuickShots and ActiveTrack 360° are associated with a standard remote controller in 360° mode. Head Tracking and acrobatic maneuvers require goggles and a compatible motion controller. The 4:3 single-lens video formats require DJI Goggles 3 or Goggles N3 with DJI RC Motion 3 or the DJI FPV 3 remote controller.
The system combines omnidirectional vision, a forward LiDAR, and an infrared sensor under the device. Omnidirectional detection works only in 360° mode; in single-lens mode, only forward detection is supported. DJI specifies that surfaces must have discernible textures and lighting must reach at least 1 lux. Propeller guards and pilot assistance features do not guarantee collision avoidance.
Range, battery life, and wind resistance values correspond to limits or measurements performed under specific conditions. They do not constitute a performance promise for every flight. The radio range of 10 km under CE standard is not an authorization to fly at that distance: respect applicable rules, local restrictions, and requirements for maintaining visual contact.

It is the same DJI Avata 360 model. The difference lies in the included equipment: this offer contains one battery and no control system. Available functions then depend on the chosen controller.
No: the 42 GB of internal storage allows recording without a card. To extend sessions, obtain a compatible and fast enough microSD card, along with storage space for 360° files.
No. Propeller guards and obstacle detection are aids: they do not exempt you from maintaining safety distances or respecting regulations and operating conditions specified by DJI.
