The DJI Mic Mini 2 is an ultra-compact wireless microphone system designed to provide professional audio quality in an extremely lightweight format of 11 g per transmitter. This complete pack includes two transmitters, one receiver, and a charging case, offering a versatile solution for content creators working solo, in pairs, or in groups.
Equipped with advanced features such as two-level noise cancellation, an automatic limiter against clipping, and extended battery life, this device integrates easily into various workflows, whether for vlogging, interviews, or streaming. Its magnetic design allows for aesthetic customization and easy attachment.
The DJI Mic Mini 2 stands out for its ultra-light design, with the transmitter weighing approximately 11 g. This compact format facilitates daily use while maintaining a sleek aesthetic. The transmitters are equipped with interchangeable magnetic front covers, allowing for quick and easy visual customization by lifting the cover from the lower groove of the housing.
For transport and maintenance, the system is designed for all-in-one storage. The charging case, whose standard model weighs approximately 159.3 g, protects the components during travel. It is recommended not to stack items inside the case to avoid potential damage to the receiver, thereby ensuring the longevity of the equipment.
Audio capture relies on an omnidirectional pattern, capable of picking up sound details from multiple sources. The system includes three vocal tone presets selectable via the DJI Mimo app: Normal for a balanced render, Rich for accentuating bass, and Bright for optimizing clarity. A safety track can be activated to prevent data loss during critical recordings.
Signal reliability is reinforced by an automatic limiter preventing audio clipping when the input is too high. Furthermore, a two-level noise cancellation is available: the Basic level is suitable for quiet indoor spaces, while the Intense level is intended for noisier environments. The frequency response varies from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, or 100 Hz to 20 kHz with the low-cut filter.
The DJI Mic Mini 2 offers great flexibility thanks to its mobile receiver or standard receiver, ensuring compatibility with cameras via a 3.5 mm TRS cable, as well as with phones, tablets, and computers. To simplify the workflow, OsmoAudio technology enables a direct Bluetooth connection between the transmitter and certain DJI products, such as the Osmo Pocket 3 or Osmo Action 6, without the need for an additional receiver.
Connection management supports mixing multiple sources from devices of different generations. Up to two transmitters can be connected simultaneously depending on the type of receiver used. Users should consult the official compatibility lists to verify specific interoperability between the transmitters and the various receivers in the range, including the Mic, Mic 2, and Mic 3 models.
The transmission range depends on the hardware configuration used. When paired with the DJI Mic Mini receiver, the system can reach a maximum distance of 400 meters under optimal conditions, i.e., an open environment, without obstacles or interference. This wireless protocol uses a frequency of 2.400 to 2.4835 GHz with an equivalent isotropically radiated power of less than 20 dBm.
Using the mobile receiver, the range varies: it is limited to 300 meters in green light mode with two compatible transmitters, and drops to 200 meters in blue light mode when using mixed transmitters from the DJI Mic range. These measurements are valid only outdoors, without obstruction, and out of range of any electromagnetic interference capable of affecting the stability of the wireless link.
The system incorporates energy-saving mechanisms, including five intelligent modes to optimize Li-ion battery usage. The transmitter has a battery life reaching 11.5 hours, while the receiver offers approximately 10.5 hours of operation. These durations are based on tests performed without noise cancellation, during short-range recordings in controlled conditions and without interference.
The charging case allows for extending usage up to 48 hours in total. The full charging time of the components varies according to the hardware used, i.e., approximately 70 minutes for the transmitters and 100 minutes for the receiver, using a charger compliant with 5 V/2 A recommendations. The charging case can perform approximately 3.6 full cycles for a set consisting of two transmitters and one receiver.

It is compatible with a wide range of cameras, smartphones, and computers. It supports the DJI OsmoAudio ecosystem for direct connection with certain DJI products like the Osmo Pocket 3.
The range can reach up to 400 meters when used with the DJI Mic Mini receiver in open, unobstructed conditions without interference.
Intense and Basic levels can be adjusted via the DJI Mimo app or the connected product's interface. When connected directly via Bluetooth to a smartphone, the Intense mode is applied by default.
At room temperature, it takes approximately 70 minutes to fully charge the transmitters via the charging case.
