The DJI Mic Mini 2 is a compact wireless audio solution designed to provide high sound quality while simplifying the workflow for content creators. This system includes two transmitters and a mobile receiver, allowing for versatile recording for interviews, vlogs, or group recordings with smartphones and other compatible equipment.
Featuring a lightweight design and a smart charging case, this set ensures a battery life of up to 48 hours. Thanks to advanced features such as two-level noise reduction and automatic limiting to prevent clipping, it guarantees clear sound capture in various environments.
The DJI Mic Mini 2 stands out for its ultra-lightweight design, with the transmitter weighing approximately 11 g. This compact format facilitates daily use while maintaining a sober aesthetic. The transmitters are equipped with interchangeable magnetic front covers, allowing for simple and quick visual customization by lifting the cover from the bottom groove of the housing.
For transport and maintenance, the system is designed for all-in-one storage. The charging case, whose standard model weighs approximately 159.3 g, helps protect components during travel. It is recommended not to stack items inside the case to avoid potential damage to the receiver, thus ensuring the durability of the equipment.
Audio capture relies on an omnidirectional polar pattern, capable of picking up sound details from multiple sources. The system integrates three vocal tone presets selectable via the DJI Mimo app: Normal for a balanced render, Rich to accentuate bass, and Bright to optimize clarity. A safety track can be activated to avoid data loss during critical recordings.
This tone function is not available in direct Bluetooth connection to the phone.
The DJI Mic Mini 2 offers great flexibility thanks to its mobile receiver or standard receiver, ensuring compatibility with cameras via a 3.5 mm TRS cable, as well as with phones, tablets, and computers. For workflow simplification, OsmoAudio technology allows a direct Bluetooth connection between the transmitter and certain DJI products, such as the Osmo Pocket 3 or the Osmo Action 6, without the need for an additional receiver.
Connection management supports mixing multiple sources from devices of different generations. It is possible to connect up to two transmitters simultaneously depending on the type of receiver used. Users should consult the official compatibility lists to verify specific interoperability between the transmitters and the various receivers in the series, including Mic, Mic 2, and Mic 3 models.
The transmission range depends on the hardware configuration used. When paired with the DJI Mic Mini receiver, the system can reach a maximum distance of 400 meters in optimal conditions, meaning an open environment without obstacles or interference. This wireless protocol uses a frequency of 2.400 to 2.4835 GHz with an equivalent isotropically radiated power of less than 20 dBm.
When using the mobile receiver, the range varies: it is limited to 300 meters in green light mode with two compatible transmitters, and drops to 200 meters in blue light mode when using mixed transmitters from the DJI Mic series. These measurements are valid only outdoors, without obstruction and out of reach of any electromagnetic interference that could affect the stability of the wireless link.
The system integrates power-saving mechanisms, including five intelligent modes aimed at optimizing Li-ion battery usage. The transmitter has a battery life reaching 11.5 hours, while the receiver offers approximately 10.5 hours of operation. These durations are based on tests performed without noise cancellation, during short-range recordings in controlled conditions without interference.
The charging case allows extending usage up to 48 hours in total. Full charging time for components varies depending on the hardware used, approximately 70 minutes for transmitters and 100 minutes for the receiver, using a charger compliant with 5 V/2 A recommendations. The charging case can perform approximately 3.6 full cycles for a set consisting of two transmitters and one receiver.

Yes, two levels are available (Basic and Intense) via the DJI Mimo app or the interface of compatible DJI products. Note that if the transmitter is connected directly to a phone via Bluetooth, the level is set to Intense by default.
DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters can connect directly to certain DJI products via OsmoAudio, such as Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, or Osmo Action 6.
DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters and receivers are compatible with each other, but are not compatible with other devices in the DJI Mic series (Mic, Mic 2, Mic 3).
